Commissioners approve routine claims, payroll, two permits and stop-loss contract with IMG

HUNTINGTON — The Huntington County Board of Commissioners cleared routine business on Dec. 1, voting unanimously to approve minutes, the claims and payroll dockets, two permit applications and a stop-loss insurance contract.
Commissioner Tom Wall made the motions in each case and Commissioner Rob Miller seconded; all motions recorded a 2-0 unanimous vote. The items approved included:
• Approval of the minutes from Nov. 17 and Dec. 1, 2025 (motion by Tom Wall; seconded by Rob Miller).
• Approval of the Claim Docket for Dec. 3, 2025 (motion by Tom Wall; seconded by Rob Miller).
• Approval of the Payroll Docket for Nov. 28, 2025 (motion by Tom Wall; seconded by Rob Miller).
• Permit for Duke Energy at CR W 200 N between CR N 500 W and CR Hunter’s Ridge Dr. (motion by Tom Wall; seconded by Rob Miller).
• Permit for Industrial Fire Services LLC at CR Broadway between CR State and CR Kocher (motion by Tom Wall; seconded by Rob Miller).
• Authorization to sign a stop-loss insurance contract with IMG (motion by Tom Wall; seconded by Rob Miller).
Gretchen Lenfestey, Office Manager, presented the County Treasurer’s report for the month ending Oct. 31, 2025, as prepared by County Treasurer Brenda Hamilton; the report was entered into the record. Commissioners did not record further discussion on these items at the meeting.
The meeting adjourned following routine business; minutes were approved on Dec. 15, 2025 and a signed copy is available at the Commissioners’ Office.
