Posey County commissioners confirm dozens of 2026 board and department appointments

Appointments to advisory and oversight boards included the ADA Board (Jeff Toelle, Jeff Greenwell, Rick Sellers, Ed Battieger, Judy Heber, Heather Allyn); Board of Review (Monica Kittinger, Jeanne Wehr); Compton Ditch Board (Ronald Eimer, Tim Compton); Drainage Board (Dale Koester, three-year term); EMA Advisory (Eric Koester); E911 Advisory (Jeremy Fortune, Robbie Wilson, Paul Micheletti, Tim Compton, Chuck Carter, Carrie Thompson, Stefani Miller); Health Board (Alicia Brown); and Posey County Redevelopment (Barry Cox, Greg Newman, Bill Collins). Motions for these appointments passed unanimously 3-0.
The board also appointed members to the Jail Building Board (Connor Voegel, Hans Schmitz), the Poseyville Library Board (Tracey Newcomber) and Visit Posey County (Kay Kilgore).
Commissioners confirmed department head appointments for 2026: Charles Mobley as Animal Control officer; John Dike as Veterans Service Officer; Steve Schenk as Highway Superintendent; Carrie Thompson as EMA Director; Paul Micheletti as EMS Director; Jamie Bradford as Dispatch Director; and Ed Battieger as Building Commissioner. Each confirmation was approved 3-0.
The appointments provide staffing continuity for county operations in 2026 and assign responsibility for upcoming departmental tasks referenced elsewhere in the meeting.
The board recorded each vote as unanimous; no public comment opposed the appointments.
