Commissioner Andy Beck said the Putnam County Board will hold a joint meeting with the County Council on Jan. 20 at 7:00 PM, immediately following the Council's regular session, to discuss annexation and future county projects; Beck asked that Mitch Hannum of Garmong attend the meeting.
Board members also discussed an upcoming Plan Commission meeting on Jan. 12 in Cloverdale concerning a proposed solar rezone. The commissioners confirmed keeping their Jan. 20 meeting in the originally advertised Commissioner meeting room. They decided that the solar developer may present the rezoning request, each side's attorneys will be given 30 minutes, and no additional public comment would be taken at that Commissioners' meeting because public comment has already been heard at prior meetings. Tom Helmer initially moved to require that the Plan Commission meeting remain in its current location to show county space constraints; he later rescinded that motion.
The commissioners said they would conduct other business earlier on the Jan. 20 agenda and keep the solar rezoning discussion for the end of the meeting.
