Quorum Court approves minutes and finances; hears armory and road updates

At the Aug. 18, 2025 meeting, the Grant County Quorum Court approved the minutes from its July 21 session and accepted the financial statement, each by 9-0 votes.
Justice Jason Roshto moved to approve the July 21 minutes and Justice Mark Allen seconded; the motion passed 9-0. Justice Mike Nevens moved to accept the financial statement, seconded by Justice Tony Carder; that motion also passed 9-0. A sales tax report was submitted to the court for review; no vote on the report was recorded in the minutes.
In other business, County Judge Randy Pruitt updated the court on the Grant County Armory / Conservation District project, saying painting is in progress and flooring is scheduled for October. Pruitt also reported road-work updates: chip sealing was expected to be completed within a couple of days, and a State Aid project on Grant County Road 51 to the airplane monument was reported complete with approximately two miles receiving a two-inch overlay.
The court moved to adjourn at the close of the meeting; signatures in the minutes include County Judge Randy Pruitt and County and Circuit Clerk Geral D. Harrison, Jr.
Next steps: Routine administrative items were approved; the minutes do not list further follow-up assignments for the armory or road projects.
