Grant County Quorum Court approves routine minutes, financials and court camera expenses; moves March meeting date

The Grant County Quorum Court met Jan. 16 and approved routine business items including the Dec. 18, 2023 minutes and the county financial statement.
Justice Mike Nevens moved to accept the minutes; Justice Paul Drake seconded and the motion passed 8-0. Justice Mike Nevens then moved to accept the financial statement; Justice Jason Roshto seconded and the court voted 8-0 to approve.
County Judge Randy Pruitt explained an item to approve District Court automation expenses paid by the City of Sheridan for security and Zoom cameras in the District courtroom. Justice Jason Roshto moved to approve the expenditures; Justice Jim Easley seconded and the motion passed 8-0.
The court received the sales tax report; the minutes do not record discussion or figures. Under other business Judge Pruitt asked whether the March 18 meeting should be moved because it falls during spring break. Justice Mike Nevens moved to reschedule the March meeting to March 11, 2024; Justice Paul Drake seconded and the court approved 8-0.
