Staff said the city will work with the operator on park infrastructure improvements and retain final approval of logo and branding materials.
Maria Adela Rosenfeld, who founded and led the Carmel Christkindlmarkt, described the event's programming, volunteer model and vendor curation, and answered council questions about hut ownership, asset liability and how the model would be adapted in Dublin. Staff noted the operator agreed to assumptions in the cost study and the city will recover park-rental subsidies through the protected revenue share. The council voted to approve the resolution advancing contract negotiations and setting the item for final consideration at the Dec. 8 meeting.
