Fulton County approves $3,000 HAVA-funded security upgrades for election offices

Voter Registration/Election Director Linda Doyle presented a TelePlus quote to install a keycard fob system on the Voter Registration/Election Office door and asked the board to fund installation of separate cameras above the Commissioners' Office door and the Voter Registration/Election Office door. Elect IT's Rick Grissinger will install the additional cameras. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the TelePlus quote and the camera work to be funded by the HAVA elections security grant in the amount of $3,000; the motion carried unanimously.
The upgrades, as described in the meeting record, include a TelePlus keycard fob installation and two additional cameras. Commissioners recorded the funding source as the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant; no additional county general-fund contribution was specified in the minutes. The board did not discuss a timeline for completion beyond authorizing the work and the installer.
