Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County commission reappoints IDA members, funds Four H and approves DOT grant; tables budget amendments and a CUP

At the Aug. 6 regular meeting the Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County voted on several routine and agenda items.
The commission reappointed Walter Miller and Linda (Lou) Beck to the Industrial Development Authority for five‑year at‑large terms expiring June 30, 2029; both reappointments were approved unanimously. The body also approved a Four H renewal and a funding request and voted to accept a DOT roundabout relocation grant; those motions passed unanimously.
A motion to table budget amendments was made and approved unanimously. The commission tabled a Conditional Use Permit for 110 Stagecoach Road (Hoyte CUP) until Dec. 3, 2024 (or until judgement), with Commissioner Damon Hoyte recorded as abstaining on the motion to table.
The board entered executive session at 6:47 p.m. to discuss personnel and legal matters and reconvened at 7:15 p.m.; Chairman Coffey stated no votes were taken during the closed session. The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
