Board approves $409,000 library repair contract and $8,000 demolition of old mobile unit at Nantahala School

Architect Peter Looper described the roof construction and recommended corrective package number one with the base bid. The board unanimously voted to contract Wind River Construction for $409,000 and approved a budget amendment of about $410,210 to include architect fees and related costs.
Morgan also presented one bid from Cope for $8,000 to demolish and remove an old library/community mobile unit from Nantahala School; the board unanimously approved using remaining library funds to cover that expense.
The votes were unanimous; staff indicated funding is available in the library fund and via a General Fund amendment for the repair contract.
