Fulton County commissioners approve routine administrative measures and hire caseworker

At their Jan. 27 meeting, Fulton County commissioners approved a slate of routine administrative items and one personnel hire.
The board approved accounts payable dated Jan. 27, 2026, totaling $234,913.72 across funds, including $145,851.38 from the General Fund and $30,555.07 from Fund 238 (911). Commissioners also approved an invoice of $3,313.00 from Insurance Agent Robert Snyder for a county Tax Collectors Blanket Bond through Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America covering Jan. 1, 2026–Dec. 31, 2029.
Services for Children Director Christine McQuade and HR Administrator Mary Huston presented a candidate for Caseworker II; Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to hire Amanda Sheffield pending clearances and completion of paperwork. The motion passed and a Salary Board meeting for the hire was held (separate minutes on file).
Other approvals included a travel request for Quinn Wiest to attend training Feb. 4–6, 2026 in State College, PA; approval of an Elect IT Solutions invoice for February 2026 IT staffing and support; retroactive approval of an ERAP 2 County Expenditure Certification Form; and approval and execution of the Election Integrity Grant Program Post‑Election Report for municipal 2025 year total expenditures of $84,443.55. Commissioners also approved renewal of Companion Life Insurance for Group Term Life and AD&D at the same rates as 2025, effective April 1, 2026.
The meeting also included a Retirement Board quarterly review (separate minutes) and a discussion with Mental Health Association representatives about services and office space needs in Fulton County. The board adjourned at 11:43 a.m.
