Diane Cotton, Community Funding Pool Chair, explained the review process and presented the recommended awards (Attachment 1). The funded list totals $75,000 against requests totaling $125,900. Notable recommended awards include full funding for KIDS Place ($10,000) and REACH ($10,000); Pisgah Legal Services was recommended for $5,999; several organizations received partial awards (for example, Appalachian Animal Rescue Center $4,859 of $10,000 requested; Franklin Amateur Swim Team $3,347 of $6,000 requested).
The board voted to approve the recommended list as presented. The funding allocations will be reflected in county accounts consistent with the approved FY2024'25 budget and related grant or program administration procedures.
