County reports localized flooding near Star School; special closed meeting set on Dec. 16

"We did identify, like, three ice jams that first day that were backed up on beaver dams," the official said while describing on‑site observations and coordination with tribal incident command. Officials said water levels had receded about a foot in one inspection and that county staff will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates by email.
Separately, commissioners handled routine administrative matters: they moved to approve minutes from Dec. 4 and Dec. 9, and announced a special closed meeting on Dec. 16 at the Mad Law office to discuss litigation. The board also scheduled its next regular meeting in Browning on Dec. 18.
