County HR briefs commissioners on health director resignation and interim plan

The HR director said they had advertised the position, received no qualified applicants from the first round, and planned to appoint an acting director to maintain continuity while advertising continues.
The HR director said the acting appointment will be ratified at the next commission meeting and outlined the need for someone to administer existing public‑health grants and programs while a permanent hire is sought.
