Glacier County commissioners ratified a local emergency proclamation Thursday after a high‑wind event that knocked out power across much of the county and caused scattered reports of structural damage, the county’s emergency official told the board.
The commission approved the resolution unanimously on a voice vote after the county’s incident commander described the event and requested a short closeout period to complete verified damage assessment, cost documentation and orderly demobilization. "Glacier County experienced a highway event that produced countywide impacts, including widespread power outages and reported damages to structures and critical infrastructure," the incident commander said.
