The Archbold Village Council on March 2 passed Resolution 2026-10 to authorize the village administrator and finance director to advertise for bids for the North Side Sanitary Sewer Interceptor, Contract 2-2026, and declared the measure an emergency.
Village Administrator Aaron Alt provided a brief explanation of the project prior to a motion to suspend the three-reading requirement. Council voted to suspend the rule on a roll call (Yeas: Ball, Dominique, Evans, Eicher, Babcock), then voted to pass Resolution 2026-10 (Yeas: Evans, Eicher, Babcock, Ball, Dominique); there were no nays recorded.
Earlier in the meeting Council also approved the February 16 minutes and accepted bills and payroll totaling $400,166.69. On the bills vote Gary Dominique recorded an abstention; the minutes and bills votes were otherwise approved by the council.
The resolution authorizes staff to advertise for bids; project details and timelines were not specified in the meeting minutes. Village staff indicated additional updates on related infrastructure projects will be provided at future meetings.
