Cramerton names Leamon Brice interim town manager and approves contract

Cramerton, N.C. — The Town of Cramerton’s Board of Commissioners voted Aug. 18 to appoint Leamon Brice as Interim Town Manager and to approve a contract for his service.
The board cited N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-318.11(6) when it moved into closed session to consider personnel matters. After returning to open session, Commissioner Helms moved to appoint Leamon Brice as Interim Town Manager; Commissioner Ramsey seconded the motion and the board voted 5–0 in favor. The board then voted 5–0 to approve a contract with the interim manager (motion by Commissioner Ramsey, second by Commissioner Atkinson).
The motions and votes were taken in open session after the statutory closed-session review; the board set no additional public conditions in the meeting minutes. The meeting adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
