Planning staff outline accessibility work, EV readiness and multiple land-use applications

Planning Director Kristy Winser reviewed staff work and pending land-use applications during the Routt County Planning Commission meeting on Nov. 6.
Winser said complying with new accessibility requirements has been more complex than anticipated and commended staff member Judy Ward for her work on the issue. She said the department is also advancing electric-vehicle readiness requirements and developing a Wildfire Resilience Code, which Sally Ross will manage.
Winser listed current land-use applications in the pipeline: three gravel pits, a project referred to as Landaulet, two LPS developments, Apex (formerly Thunderstruck), battery storage facilities and large-scale solar development, and ongoing Stagecoach Mountain Resort applications. She also noted there have been many code-enforcement cases.
