Catawba County reappoints planning-board members, fills Maiden vacancy; manager reports budget transfers

The first moved $7,845.33 from contingency and the self-insurance fund into General Fund motor vehicle appropriations to purchase a replacement sheriff vehicle after an insurance payout. The second transferred $40,000 from contingency to "Other Professional Services" for a contingency-based contract to explore a board-directed potential real property acquisition.
Both the appointments and the reported transfers were recorded in the meeting materials. The board did not take additional formal actions on the manager’s transfers, which were completed under authority previously granted to the County Manager.
