On July 15 the Claiborne County Commission approved Resolution 2019-053 to make fiscal-year 2019-20 appropriations to a slate of local nonprofit organizations.
Key allocations listed in the resolution include $15,000 to Cumberland Mountain Industries (The ARC/CMI); $15,900 to the Dollywood Imagination Library; $11,000 to the Claiborne County Historical Society; $10,000 to the Claiborne County Fair Association; $10,000 to Servolution; $10,000 to the Harrogate Library; and smaller appropriations to local community centers, education programs and service providers. The resolution enumerates 26 specific appropriations and corresponding dollar amounts.
The commission approved the resolution by roll call, 21-0. The measure conditions county funding on compliance with TCA Section 5-9-109 and Comptroller of the Treasury rules (chapter 0380-2-7). Each recipient must file an annual report and proposed use of county funds; county transfers will be made quarterly upon invoice from the organization.
The resolution took effect immediately and was ordered spread upon the commission minutes.
