Fulton County reappoints planning members, approves state food plan and updates treasurer and banking procedures

At its Dec. 9 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved a set of administrative and board appointments and addressed several county operations items.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to reappoint Paula Shives, James Gress, Jeremy Fletcher and Tim Newman to the Planning Commission for four-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2029; the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to reappoint Russell McLucas as a Conservation District Director for a four-year term to expire Dec. 31, 2029; that motion also passed unanimously.
Commissioner Hann moved to approve the 2025 State Food Plan as submitted by Sue Cubbage; the motion passed. Commissioners also authorized execution of Community State Bank documents to add or remove authorized check signers as the Treasurer's Office transitions. Interim County Treasurer Amy Bishop presented changes to Treasurer's Office operating procedures; Commissioner Bunch authorized the procedural changes as presented.
Executive Development Director Julie Dovey, Executive Program Director Elen Ott and Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville briefed the board on Phase II renovations for the upper level of the newly purchased building on Lincoln Way West; the minutes record the discussion but no formal renovation contract or expenditure was recorded at this meeting. The board adjourned at 11:02 a.m.
