Fulton County commissioners approve payables, personnel action and several appointments

FULTON COUNTY, Dec. 16, 2025 — The Fulton County Board of Commissioners handled a slate of administrative and personnel matters Tuesday, approving payables, staffing actions and several board appointments.
The board approved payables dated Dec. 16, 2025, totaling $281,921.91. The minutes list the fund breakdown as General Fund $214,588.09; SFC Technology Grant $330.26; SFC Evidence Based Practice $142.50; 911 $20,705.31; Domestic Relations $50.54; and Opioid Settlement Funds $46,105.21. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the payables; the motion carried unanimously.
Commissioners met with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress on department matters. Commissioner Hann moved to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Monday, Dec. 8, 2025; the board approved the dismissal. Hann also moved to advertise for an "Enforcement Officer 1" position for the Domestic Relations Department, to be posted both internally and externally; that motion passed unanimously.
The board approved a retroactive renewal of a Momentive Software, Inc. order for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48 on a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible. The board also approved and executed a request from the Sheriff's Department for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve an appointment letter for Thomas Peppernick to serve on the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four‑year term ending Dec. 31, 2027; the board also approved reappointment letters for members of the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board—Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member‑at‑Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member‑at‑Large)—to two‑year terms ending Dec. 31, 2027. The board voted unanimously on each motion.
Commissioner Bunch also moved to approve the 2026 Commissioners' meeting dates for public advertisement in the Fulton County Newspaper. The minutes record two brief executive sessions for personnel matters (9:36–9:38 a.m. and 10:52–11:30 a.m.), and note that a DCED financial monitoring interview scheduled for 11:30 a.m. was canceled by DCED, which requested to meet with SEDA COG and the chief clerk instead. The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
