Fulton County approves replacement dispatch clocks, regional support contract and two-year Hazmat agreement

Fulton County commissioners approved equipment and service agreements on Dec. 23 to support emergency dispatch and hazmat response.
Brian Barton, EMA/911 Director, told commissioners that the department's dispatch clocks are "over twenty years old and are in dire need of replacement." Barton also said that the county's "Pre Alert" system is in place and that the related information has been sent to the county's fire departments; he provided an update on completed and upcoming trainings.
On a motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch, the board approved a ComPros quote for two dispatch clocks including hardware and installation in the amount of $4,940.00. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve and execute the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; the board recorded that the contract is fully grant funded and approved it unanimously.
The commissioners also approved a two-year Hazmat Team agreement with McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc., with payment amounts of $2,500 for FY2026 and $7,500 for FY2027. All motions in the EMA/911 and Hazmat items were approved with unanimous recorded votes of 'All in favor.'
Next steps: ComPros will be engaged to supply and install the dispatch clocks; the county will execute the Mission Critical Partners contract and the Hazmat agreement and proceed with implementation per those contracts.
