Bedford County elects notaries and approves Canon copier contracts for court and schools

The Bedford County Board of Commissioners approved routine business items on Feb. 10, including election of a slate of notaries and the approval of Canon U.S.A., Inc. copier rental contracts for county courts and the Board of Education.
The Rules & Legislative Committee placed a slate of notaries on the agenda. Commissioner Greg Vick moved to elect the listed notaries; Drew Hooker seconded. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. The minutes list the names to be commissioned and note that the clerk will record the appointments.
Commissioners also approved procurement items for Canon copier rentals. A Canon U.S.A., Inc. 10-month rental quote for the Circuit Court was presented; Commissioner Drew Hooker moved to approve the contract and Anita Epperson seconded. The board later approved similar Canon quote sheets related to the Board of Education after a motion by Commissioner Eric Maddox and a second by Commissioner Anita Epperson.
