Claiborne County Commission backs local "Stand in the Gap" anti-drug initiative

The resolution text included findings that the county has experienced drug-related harms, incarcerations for drug-related crimes and broad community impacts. The commission approved the resolution by voice vote.
The resolution is a formal expression of support; it does not appropriate funding or create new county programs. Implementation and operational details for specific initiatives are left to the nonprofit coalition and any partnering agencies.
