The Pine County Board unanimously approved a consent agenda on March 3 covering routine administrative and personnel items.
The consent agenda included: an anonymous $40 donation to the county K-9 program; approval of 2025 gas tax distributions to townships; letters of support for LCCMR grant applications for Pokegama Lake Association and Osprey Wilds Youth and Family Camps; and personnel actions hiring Joey Johnson (eligibility worker, effective March 9, 2026, $25.01/hour) and Laura Berg (eligibility worker, effective March 4, 2026, $23.96/hour). The board also approved several staff training attendances, with associated lodging and travel costs to be covered by departmental grants where specified.
Commissioner Matt Ludwig moved to approve the consent agenda and Commissioner Steve Hallan seconded. Roll-call vote carried 5-0.
The board’s approval authorizes hiring and staff travel detailed in the consent item descriptions; specified grant funds will cover some training costs.
