"If you do that kind of cut, they have no choice but to cut," Committee member (S1) said, noting that the branch’s on‑site staff and open hours could be affected. Board discussion focused on the tradeoffs between preserving local hours and covering other county priorities.
S1 additionally said the Rose Hill building had been donated to the county "for the specific purpose that it be used as a library," and that the board would check the deed for any reversionary clause before considering other uses.
