The Anaconda‑Deer Lodge County Commission voted 3‑1 to appoint Joe Ungoretti to the Board of Adjustments after members discussed whether a department head should serve on that board.
Commissioner Bodette said he had no question about Ungoretti's qualifications but opposed the appointment because he believes a department head should not sit on the Board of Adjustments. Other commissioners disagreed and supported appointing Ungoretti. The motion to approve the appointment passed with Commissioner Bodette recorded in opposition.
The commission did not direct additional conditions for the appointment during the meeting. The vote followed standard appointment procedures and was recorded on the motion to approve the request for appointment.
