Nemaha County commissioners approve interlocal agreements, technology contracts and tax‑sale authorization

The Nemaha County Board of Commissioners approved a series of motions Sept. 10 covering interlocal agreements, technology contracts, tax‑sale authority and a land‑use resolution.
The board authorized the sheriff’s department to apply for an AMOCO credit card (motion by Commissioner Bryan Mellage, seconded by Commissioner Mike Hall), and approved and signed the Four County Juvenile Diversion Interlocal Agreement for 2025–2026 with Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee and Richardson counties.
Commissioners also voted to sign an interlocal agreement to continue membership with the Nebraska Regional Interoperability Network (NRIN). To move the county’s internet service off the Nebraska State Network and onto Unite Fiber Internet Service, the board approved quotes from two vendors: Five Nines Technology Group at $3,197.04 and Action Technology Services Inc. at $3,484.00. Those motions were each moved by Commissioner Mellage and seconded by Commissioner Hall and passed by unanimous roll call votes.
The board granted the Nemaha County Treasurer permission to issue County Tax Sale Certificates on delinquent taxes from tax year 2023 and adopted Resolution #2025‑20, a subdivision for Lee and Mary Lou Dunekacke. Each motion passed on recorded roll calls.
Routine accounts payable claims were approved earlier in the meeting, and the board adjourned at 10:50 a.m.
