Parish council denies Specific Use for public entity in residential neighborhood, approves separate RV specific‑use permit

Residents Donald and Shelia Oliver of the Chatsworth subdivision urged the Council to maintain neighborhood restrictions, said they collected a petition opposing the proposal, and expressed concern about placing a public entity in a residential area. The Olivers told the Council the neighborhood is a restricted subdivision and asked that it remain unchanged; their remarks were noted in the public comment record.
Separately, the Council adopted Ordinance No. 2425 to grant a Specific Use allowing a recreational vehicle (RV) in a Single Family Residential (SR) zoned district for an identified applicant, Freddie DeCourt. The ordinance references the Unified Development Code procedures and indicates the ordinance becomes effective upon publication.
