A commissioner reported that the CEO and road supervisor had selected new radar speed signs that will display drivers’ speeds at entry points to town, including near Commercial Street and the west end. "I’m for absolutely in favor of him for, showing what people's speed is when they're coming into town," the commissioner said.
County CEO Tim Everett said batteries, solar panels and frames are ready and installation should be completed soon; he added that recent forecast trends make it unlikely the county’s outdoor ice rink will freeze during the upcoming holiday break. “With this weather, we don't have any plowing to do, so I'm just gonna be able to get it done…we're gonna need mother nature really to change its course if we're gonna have ice for the Christmas break this year,” Everett said.
No action was required; commissioners noted appreciation for the sign installations.
