County to advertise bids for Georgetown Lake Road overlay with engineer estimate of $128,989

The planned procurement schedule sets bid advertisements on Jan. 9, a bid opening on Jan. 26 and the commission vote to award on Feb. 3; substantial completion is scheduled for June 26 to finish work before Fourth of July activities at the lake.
CEO Everett described the project as a preservation effort to avoid costlier full reconstruction later. Commissioners supported placing the advertising request on the agenda for procurement and anticipated awarding the contract after bids open.
The commission placed the item on the agenda to proceed with advertising; no construction contract was awarded on Jan. 6.
