County staff told commissioners on Jan. 6 that the Historic Resources Board has secured CLG funding and recommended moving forward on a condition assessment of the Grover (Clover) Cabin in Washoe Park.
Mr. Hambley said Gilmore Frazen Consulting LLC submitted a proposal for $3,550 and that the Historic Resources Board voted to recommend the county enter the agreement. "They came in with this proposal for $3,550...the Historic Resources Board voted to recommend moving forward with Gilmore," he said.
The condition assessment will determine whether the structure is sound enough to support additional restoration grant applications and to guide preservation work. The commission placed the contract authorization on the agenda for signature and directed staff to proceed with the procurement steps.
No additional funding decisions beyond the CLG-supported scope were made at the Jan. 6 meeting.
