Claiborne County approves combined Board of Education federal budget adjustments

The resolutions adjust multiple federal revenue accounts and expenditure line items — for example, increased federal receipts were recorded in accounts such as 47143 (Special Ed Grants) and 47590 (Other Federal), and staff-development, salary, substitute and instructional-supply lines were reallocated to reconcile the county budget with the state-approved grant budgets. The resolutions’ text notes they involve no state or local tax dollars.
School Director Linda Keck and Finance Director Angelia Tucker are noted in the resolution documents as filing/administrative contacts. The commission took the action under New Business without requesting further changes.
The county will reflect the amended federal-project budgets in its records so the district can receive and administer the state-managed grant funds.
