Brookpark City Council voted Jan. 6 to approve a 12‑month livestream subscription with BoxCast for $2,388.
The council placed the payment on the agenda under verbal approval and, after a motion and second, approved the expenditure by roll call. The council president moved the item; the clerk called the vote and the president announced the measure had been approved.
The council earlier approved three sets of minutes (caucus meetings of Dec. 9 and Dec. 16, 2025, and the Dec. 16 regular meeting) by verbal approval; one council member announced an abstention on the minutes because they had not participated in those meetings.
The meeting included routine committee reports from the Aviation & Environmental Committee, Planning, Finance and others, and departmental updates from the law director, finance director, public works and recreation. The council returned to the regular order of business after presentations and proclamations and then completed the livestream approval and adjourned at 8:14 p.m.
What comes next: the subscription purchase was approved at the Jan. 6 meeting; any follow‑up (billing or contract details) will be handled administratively by city staff.
