Cramerton Board appoints youth ambassador and backs Gaston Aquatics acquisition

Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley moved to appoint Noah Andrews as the youth ambassador to the Community Committee; Commissioner Helms seconded the motion and the vote was 5-0 in favor. The Board also considered Resolution #2022-06, moved by Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley and seconded by Commissioner Ramsey, which expresses municipal support for Gaston Aquatics’ proposed acquisition to construct an aquatics center in Cramerton; the resolution was approved 5-0.
Staff also reported other 'Big Board' items: coordination with NCDOT on Wilkinson Boulevard/Market Street improvements, work on wayfinding signage phases with Sign Connections, and that Senator Tillis’s office had documentation ready to request an EPA Brownfields Grant letter.
