He said the city is scheduling biweekly meetings with ODOT and other regional partners and will present more detailed plans as additional analysis is finalized.
Council members raised traffic and flyover questions, including whether ODOT might consolidate exits on I‑71 southbound and how exit geometry could affect local traffic; the mayor said ODOT is still analyzing options and that nothing is finalized. The city’s engineer and external consultants will continue to refine layouts and coordinate with ODOT and NOACA.
The mayor asked for patience from residents as the city works through land‑use approvals and infrastructure planning and said more community meetings and open houses will follow.
