Broadway commissioners unanimously adopt resolution to close out Sewer AIA-W-ARP-0236

The Town of Broadway Board of Commissioners on Nov. 24 unanimously approved a resolution to close out Sewer AIA-W-ARP-0236, a wastewater agreement closeout presented under New Business. Mayor Pro Tem Tommy Beal moved to approve the resolution; Commissioner Lynne Green seconded the motion and it carried without opposition.

The action was one of several routine approvals at the meeting. Earlier the board approved the meeting agenda "as submitted" after a motion by Commissioner Teresa Kelly and a second from Mayor Pro Tem Tommy Beal; the board also approved the consent agenda, which included October minutes, the October paid bills report and October financials, on a motion from Commissioner April Collins and a second from Commissioner Teresa Kelly. All procedural motions carried unanimously.

Mayor Donald Andrews opened a discussion about community programming for America's 250th anniversary (see separate item), but no formal vote on celebration plans was taken at the meeting. The board moved its December regular meeting from Dec. 22 to Dec. 15 because of the Christmas holiday; that scheduling change passed unanimously on a motion from Commissioner April Collins with a second from Mayor Pro Tem Tommy Beal.

Next steps: the resolution to close out Sewer AIA-W-ARP-0236 was adopted and recorded in the meeting minutes; staff will carry out any administrative closeout tasks tied to that resolution, as customary. The board adjourned after Commissioner April Collins moved to adjourn and Commissioner Teresa Kelly seconded.
