The sale is to be completed for cash, “As Is,” with closing to occur within 30 days of the May 6 meeting, and county officials were authorized to execute conveyance instruments.
The motion to adopt the resolution was made by Commissioner Wood Hall Young Jr. and seconded by Commissioner Martha Hicks; the vote was 5–0. The resolution’s text, read at the meeting, specifies the statutory basis for the sale and the upset-bid procedure the county followed.
The board did not discuss subsequent plans by CEW Services for the property during the meeting, and the resolution contains no conditions or restrictions beyond the sale terms and the statutory process. County staff will complete the closing paperwork and transfer the parcels to CEW Services if all conditions in the purchase offer are met.
