Hudson council adopts amended 2026 meeting schedule

The Hudson City Council on Dec. 2 approved an amended 2026 meeting and workshop schedule, making minor calendar shifts including an extra day off in February, aligning spring break dates with the school calendar, splitting a two-week break around the Fourth of July and moving the August vacation to the first week of August.
Council President Byrd presented the modifications and said they reflect adjustments discussed at last week’s meeting. Councilor Goetz moved adoption of the amended schedule and the motion was seconded; Missus Wheeler conducted a roll call vote that recorded five yes votes and no opposition.
The change was adopted as agenda item 25-0137. Councilors said the amended schedule is intended to better align municipal meetings with school vacation periods and the holiday calendar, and the mayor noted a physical handout of the revised schedule was available to council at the dais.
With passage of the schedule, council closed the consent portion of the agenda and moved on to legislative business.
