Senate Finance Committee places two confirmations on consent calendar

Vice Chair Marchman moved a favorable recommendation to the full Senate.
Keith Erfmeyer, the state property tax administrator, introduced Mayor Ty Coleman for the State Board of Equalization and described the board’s role, including setting the residential assessment rate. Mayor Coleman discussed his banking, mortgage-broker and nonprofit-housing background and said he would work to ensure fair property-tax burdens statewide. Senators thanked both nominees for traveling to testify and moved favorable recommendations; both nominations were placed on the consent calendar.
