The chair clarified staff could accept a cheaper option if the vendor returned a lower price. Vocal aye votes were recorded and the chair announced, "Motion carries."
The commission instructed staff to proceed with the purchase within the approved authorization and to complete procurement steps (quote confirmation and, if required, public advertisement through Brenda for any item needing a formal bid).
