Resident asks Fallon County to finish easement for Fletcher Creek Trail access

A county resident called into the meeting requesting help completing an easement for the final mile of an access road to family property on Fletcher Creek Trail. Cassidy Jesperson told commissioners the county has maintained the road for decades but the legal easement for the last mile is missing, which complicates financing for the property.
County staff described the standard process: the property owner hires Bros Engineering to survey and prepare legal descriptions and documents, the county’s road foreman will inspect the road, and if the road meets county standards the county will sign the easement and may provide gravel or scoria where needed. “We can get ahold of Bros,” a county official said, and scheduled Bros and the road foreman to meet with Jesperson to clarify the survey cost and next steps.
The commission did not take a formal vote on the request during the meeting; staff said they would follow up with Cassidy Jesperson after the site visit and once the legal description and easement draft are prepared.
