During routine business, Fallon County commissioners approved several small‑dollar actions and directed staff to advertise a request for qualifications for a landfill engineer.
The board adopted budget‑amendment resolution 1171 to accept a $1,500 Smithsonian grant for the museum. Commissioners also approved a change order for the FMC renovation (core drilling and conduit relocation) for $1,037.95 and accepted an amendment to extend the Credible Mines, Inc. license agreement for one year at a price of $1,370.
The commission voted to advertise an RFQ for landfill engineer services and to approve claims totaling $457,619.17. Commissioners discussed overlapping elevator service contracts (TKE vs. Otis) and timing windows for termination; staff and counsel will review contract buyout and cancellation windows as needed.
Most of these items passed by motion with one member absent. Several matters (elevator buyout options, apprenticeship details) were left for follow‑up.
