Crawford County accepts treasurer's semiannual reconciliation showing $18.2 million ending balance

The Crawford County Board of Supervisors on July 23 approved the Treasurer's semiannual reconciliation covering Jan. 1 through June 30, 2024.
The report lists a beginning treasurer's balance of $18,764,513.87, total revenues of $28,698,558.12 and total expenses of $29,426,799.36, with a calculated and actual ending balance of $18,206,092.24. The reconciliation notes a change in outstanding items and provides detailed fund-level balances for accounts including General Basic, Rural Basic, Secondary Road, ARPA, E911 and numerous special funds.
Highlights from the reconciliation include the Secondary Road fund showing a beginning balance of $2,800,294.59 and calculated ending balance of $2,882,243.86; the ARPA fund showing $1,106,290.11 beginning balance with $204,394.96 expenses during the period; and the E911 fund with an ending balance of $549,922.65. The proceedings also record a vendor payments total of $1,047,320.83 across listed claims.
The board approved the report without recorded dissent. The treasurer and auditor will maintain the county books and make any required accounting corrections as part of normal financial procedures.
