Pacific County approves three-year AFSCME courthouse contract, ratified by union

The presenter said the courthouse group had ratified the deal and that the agreement ‘‘integrated the terms of that wage study with the reset of these grades and steps for all of these court house employees,’’ noting that retroactive pay from an earlier memorandum of understanding had already been paid to union members. The presenter also thanked members of the negotiating team and county staff who participated in the process.
The presenter said the deal follows a comprehensive wage study performed by JV Ward Systems and that elected officials’ wages are set by ordinance and the Washington Citizens' Commission on salaries for elected officials.
