"That scenario, the acquisition of 6551 Park Of Commerce combined with building the smaller city hall downtown is half of the cost of building everything downtown," CBRE Senior Vice President Will Portfolio told the council during a July 14 workshop.
The recommendation followed a market search that began in January and considered 15 properties. CBRE and city staff said they shortlisted five options and conducted tours of 10 properties; staff concluded 6551 required the least fit-out work and presented the most cost-effective solution for the city’s operational needs.
