Public comment and equipment updates
During public comment the fire chief described the new Stryker equipment as touchscreen and useful for on-scene hospital communications: "It's all touchscreen and it's pretty neat." CEO Everett said the county has two paramedics and a third trainee expected to finish next March, adding, "We're getting close to having a paramedic on every ambulance which, guys, will be huge for this community." Tony Marlin commented during public comment on housing pressures and community character, saying, "I grew up here and I love this community."

Most items approved at the meeting are managerial or procurement steps; the commission did not set additional public hearings for the projects discussed at the meeting except the previously announced Oct. 8 public hearing at the courthouse for commission business.
