The Lewis and Clark County Board of Commissioners approved an amendment Sept. 16 to a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that will increase total funding for the East Helena Lead Education and Assistance Program by $263,000.
Sarah Sandau, Public Health Grants Specialist, presented the amendment and said the budget period will remain the same. Staff recommended approval, and the board approved the amendment 3-0.
No public comment was received on the amendment. The additional funds are designated for the East Helena lead program's institutional controls and education work; the county will manage grant reporting under the existing budget period.
