The Lewis and Clark County Board of Commissioners approved an extension of preliminary approval for the Fasbender Minor Subdivision to March 22, 2026 after a split board vote on Sept. 16.
Greg McNally, Planning Projects Manager, presented the extension request and recommended approval. Chair Candace Payne moved to deny the extension; that motion failed 1-2 with Commissioners Andy Hunthausen and Tom Rolfe voting against the denial. Commissioner Tom Rolfe then moved to approve the extension, seconded by Commissioner Andy Hunthausen; the motion passed 2-1 with Chair Candace Payne voting against.
The board recorded no public comment on the item. The extension preserves the subdivision's conditional approval while the applicant addresses outstanding conditions and requires no immediate change to county land-use approvals.
The action will keep the conditional approval in effect through March 22, 2026. County staff will continue to monitor and report back to the commission if additional permits or conditions need action.
