Nexus Coalition tells Snowflake council it will provide naloxone and family support

Vicky Solomon, representing Nexus Coalition, told the Snowflake Town Council on Dec. 2 that donations from this year’s Giving Machine fundraiser will support education, free naloxone distribution and community outreach programs.
Solomon said Nexus is honored to be one of the nonprofits included in the Giving Machine and highlighted services that will directly benefit families impacted by addiction. She noted that Nexus staffer Destiny Hall hosts an online support group for family members of people with addiction every Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Councilmembers thanked the nonprofit for its local work; Greg Brimhall said, "thank you for what you’re doing," and Byron Lewis noted appreciation that Nexus provides naloxone to the police department.
The presentation was informational; no formal council action was recorded beyond thanks and recognition of the organization’s participation in the Giving Machine.
